Our Story

My life growing up in Hungary was wonderfully influenced by cars of all shapes and sizes in a family immersed in the automotive industry. This upbringing has given me a lifelong passion and appreciation for cars and other vehicles with wheels and engines. My father has operated his own car dealership for the last thirty five years and you could say it runs in the blood. I’ve driven so many different types of vehicles and I’m truly doing what I enjoy!

I’ve lived in West Somerset since January 2012 and it has been a wonderful place to live and work by the sea. If you have been to our area then you know what I’m talking about because it is very beautiful here on the southern shore of the Bristol Channel with the views over to South Wales. Since moving here I have worked in the top end of the Hotel & Hospitality industry and at one point was also involved with the first Solar Powered Ice-cream Van in the world at the Styles Farmhouse Ice Cream Company which is a local asset and favourite here in West Somerset. 

Recently I have been operating my registered Taxi company called Anchor Taxis & Travel in Minehead and we have a growing fleet of taxis and drivers that are providing a superior service to the local residents and visitors to the area. We are making regular runs to Taunton & Exeter Train Stations and the local airports in the area like Bristol, Exeter & Cardiff. We can even get you to the major London Airports if required like Heathrow & Gatwick. We also provide tours for visitors through Exmoor National Park which is an English treasure that stuns you visually around every turn and sits on our doorstep. In fact, we are surrounded by Exmoor and its beauty.

It was the taxi business that made me realise how many beautiful wedding venues there are in Exmoor because we were servicing the wedding venues with our black London Taxis and eight seater vans. There were clearly no wedding cars in the area and if people wanted something special it had to be transported from far away adding significantly to the cost and wedding logistics. This was the birth of the idea that became Somerset Wedding Cars Ltd, local wedding venues needed quality wedding cars to put the finishing touch on their beautiful weddings.

Providing excellent customer service is a passion and if I can provide that in an immaculately beautiful wedding car then we are both winning! I very much look forward to making your special day just perfect.
